This year’s holiday season brought so many opportunities for Green Quick Fixes, from the 100% recycled content wrapping paper to beeswax menorah candles.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is the opportunity to bring nature inside and enjoy the heady Evergreen aroma of a fresh tree. This year it was easy to find, cut, and decorate a locally- and sustainably-grown, pesticide-free tree. This one here, grown at Evergreen Farm in nearby Georgetown/Byfield, is decorated with multi-color LED lights, reusable silver garland instead of tinsel, and a tree skirt made from reused coffee bean bags and recycled sweater. It, along with the great matching stockings, were handmade for me in Minnesota by thelittlegreenbean. Thank you Missy!
